Description
Converse CTAS 70's Ox Renew Shoes
Following a low cut silhouette, these Converse CTAS 70's Ox Renew Shoes have uppers made from ozone blue coloured 100% recycled polyester, woven from approximately eleven post consumer plastic bottles per pair. The natural coloured laces are also made from recycled polyester and the curved tongue matches the same light tone which allows for embroidered writing at the top reading ‘Life’s Too Short To Waste’ to really stand out. Removing the need for metal components, the eyestays and ventilation eyelets have also been embroidered and contrasting top stitching flows across the uppers, highlighting the design’s outline. The thick white midsole is made from rubber with an additional panel around the front of the toes for durability and at the back of the heel a Converse All Star stamp has been added below a natural tone fabric strip.
Appropriately named ‘ozone blue’ these Converse CTAS 70's Ox Renew Shoes arrive as part of the Converse Renew project which looks to introduce 100% recycled materials across signature silhouettes from the iconic footwear brand. As part of an ongoing initiative that has been four years in the making, future Renew Denim and Renew Cotton models are set to arrive shortly and work towards the promotion of conscious manufacturing and improved systems within the fashion industry.
